I am an ecologist and love being outdoors. I enjoy walking and camping in the countryside and love visiting the seaside. I enjoy travelling and have been to about 30 countries. I am not very sporty but I enjoy adventures, I've climbed Mount Kenya twice, stayed in a tree house in the rain forest and camped in the desert.
I have had an eclectic career, I was a teacher in Kenya for 3 years. I was a yoga teacher and vegetarian cook. I was the keyboard player in my sister's band and we toured the west coast of USA. I was a botanist on board cruise ships around the coast of Britain. I was part of Earthdance and we travelled to Northern India to meet the Dalai Llama and organise parties to raise money and awareness for Tibet.
I read a lot and I run a book club, the first rule of book club is you must talk about book club. I like watching good TV programmes, especially those about natural history, art, science, history and my favourite TV programme is Dr. Who. I have a camper van. I have been vegetarian all my life, I was brought up by a vegan father and a vege mother.
Now I am an ecologist and mother to my little girl. But I still like adventures and look forward to many more. My greatest ambition is to work at an orang utan sanctuary in Indonesia and to push baby orangs around in a wheel barrow. Also I would love to go to central Africa to see the mountain gorillas.
I am looking for somebody who is kind, thoughtful and fun. Someone who respects my independence, but who wants to share walks and talks and help me put the world to rights. Someone who wants to come paddling with me and sometimes even go for a swim.
