These descriptions are always the worst part. I try to 'silver lining' everything. Anecdotes are best when they have humor or a lesson or a combination therein. I'm serious when I need to be, and playful until told otherwise. Being ethereal rarely seems sincere. But sarcasm usually entertains.
What more: it's all about communication. It doesn't matter what the subject, as long as another person is involved open up and be honest. Because grass is green, sky is blue, and politicians are rarely honest. Is there more? I hope so, otherwise we're all wasting our time.
